As the holiday season approaches and 2007 winds to a close,
I would like to take a moment to look back on the incredible progress we have made. Clearly, we have much to celebrate.

In one short year, we have submitted a Strategic Plan to the Government of Ontario and established a range of programs and partnerships that will lay the groundwork for future discoveries. Now, our team is quickly moving forward with our vision to create a world-leading centre of excellence right here in Ontario. The Institute is designed to deliver a variety of economic benefits, but at this time of year it is important to remember that our mission goes beyond dollars and cents and has special significance for all of us whose lives have been touched by cancer.

We look forward to moving forward with our mission in the New Year. In the meantime, on behalf of everyone at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday.
